You will rarely find a bathroom INSIDE a home in the barrios where we serve. A typical bathroom in our barrio's are holes surrounded by plastic or old tin in the back of their property. Some families even have to use the woods as a restroom. You can imagine the issues with insects and parasites. With a CCM Latrine ministry project, we dig a very deep pit by hand, pour a concrete floor at the top, install a western-style flushing commode, and secure walls and doors.
