Thank you so much for partnering with Chosen Children Ministries through child sponsorship. Mailing letters or packages from the U.S. are cost-prohibitive to Nicaragua. Mail service and mailboxes as we know it here in the United States are not the same there. Therefore, we provide an online tool for communicating with your sponsored child. Communicating with your sponsored child in Nicaragua will let them know you as an important part of their lives. Share about your work, church, your personal testimony and even photos of your family. Make sure to keep your letters short and avoid talking about material possessions. For the safety of your child, we ask that you communicate only using our web tools rather than social media or email.

What is the process?
  1. Write a letter to your child using our website communication tools
  2. We review your letter and translate to Spanish
  3. Your letter is sent to Nicaragua, printed and given to your child during food bag distribution time (once per month)
  4. Your child writes a letter and gives to our sponsorship team
  5. Their letter is scanned, translated to English and uploaded to your account
  6. You receive an email notification that your child has written a letter

How often will I get a letter from my child?

In general, expect to receive a letter from your child every three months (see schedule below by community and month). When you write your child the process takes some time, so if you don't hear from them right away, don't worry. Here's the schedule for 2022.

January / April / July / October

Are You Ready? Here's How to Write Your Child
  1. Go to our website: and click on "LOGIN" at the top of the screen (on mobile device, click on the icon that looks like a person")
  2. Sign in with your email address (the one used when you sponsored your child). If you have never signed in before or can't remember your password, click "Recover it here" and follow the instructions
  3. Once you are signed in, click "MY ACCOUNT" at the top of the screen where you will see a number of menu items
  4. In the dropdown menu, click "My Children/Letters"
  5. On the next screen you will see a list of your sponsored children. Click the hamburger menu to the right (three horizontal lines) and select "Write a Letter"
  6. Now you're ready to write your letter, upload photo(s) and click "Submit"
